The Round Rock Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday night, December 31, 2025, in the 1600 block of Chisholm Trail Road at the Platinum Event Center. At approximately 11:30 p.m., a physical altercation broke out between partygoers, during which a shooting occurred. Officers located five juveniles with gunshot wounds. All victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Preliminary information indicates the party involved underage drinking and stemmed from a viral social media flyer. Three of the victims are from Pflugerville, and two are from Austin. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. At this time, no suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective Heldman at bheldman@roundrocktexas.gov or 512-688-7966.

Officers are responding to a shooting in the downtown Round Rock area near Backporch Social. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, and one individual has been shot. Please avoid the area as officers continue to investigate. It appears to be an isolated incident at this time. This is an active investigation, and information is preliminary.
