Tonight, the PM announced further measures to tackle coronavirus. Schools and other settings remain closed - except for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers. Only send your kids to school if you need to. Otherwise be responsible and #StayHomeSaveLives

YR 6 trip update. Currently they have stopped at Caldicot services for a toilet break. Unfortunately the M5 is looking very busy and Bakers estimate that it will be between an hour and an hour and a half. As soon as we have a better idea of an eta time we will update.

We had so much fun @SidcotSchool for our @ExtendLAN Mini Tennis event. Children learning to compete individually, whilst contributing to a team score allowed ever child a chance to be valued. #teamelan

Disappointed that the rain eventually beat us today in our 3&4 Quadkids Festival. Well done to the children for braving it and acting so responsibly though when we finished slightly earlier than planned. And a huge thanks to Mr Watkins and @meadvalesport for all your support

Planning is underway for our Y5&6 Kwik Cricket Festival @wsmcricketclub on 24th June. Looking forward to a very exciting afternoon!

One of those rewarding 'moments' this week. Every Y6 child, paired up with 2 KS1 children to deliver their Celebration of Sport Festival. Y6 leadership was unbelievable. 180 children having a great pupil led sports afternoon @LockingPrimary

We were unfortunately dispatched to the beach today after being alerted to a break in at our beach hut. Huge thanks to the brilliant @NorthSomersetC Beach Rangers who rebuilt the broken doors for us so that the children and staff can continue to use the hut safely again this year

The school will close at 1pm today due to unforeseen circumstances . Where possible please collect your child from Thor classroom at 1pm.

Good luck all people who are running the London marathon, especially our incredible Miss Lynn. We hope you all do well! Good luck to all the marathon runners. Never give up and try your best!

Today was Year 3/4 Rugby tournament at @SidcotSchool All children showed the core values of Rugby. Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportmanship. We are so proud of the team today. 🏉🏅Thank you @SidcotDoS and @ExtendLANSPORT for such a great event!

On Thursday 21st March, for a small donation, pupils are invited to wear odd socks for Downs Syndrome Awareness Day. Following our donation to Ups and Downs South West at Christmas, money raised from this event will be used to support pupils with SEN at Locking School.
