Gas prices surged 21.2% in a single month, the biggest one-month spike since 1967. The national average hit $4.15/gallon. Wages rose 0.2%. Inflation took 0.6%. Americans are working the same hours and bringing home less purchasing power than they were 30 days ago. April's numbers aren't out yet.
