Last year a man was convicted of assaulting two female officers and a male member of the public at Manchester Airport in July 2024. He will be sentenced next month. Two juries have been unable to deliver a verdict relating to alleged assaults on a male officer.

Something needs to be done to make murderers more honest at crime scenes, then the police wouldn't end up accidentally handcuffing stab victims for racism. Maybe some form of new tax?

@smg1664 Our officers were misled at the scene, including denial of weapon use. They quickly switched to life-saving aid within minutes but, as laid out in our statement, the medical evidence shows that the injuries were not survivable. A very sad case, our thoughts are with his family.

As Henry Nowak lay bleeding to death in the middle of a quiet residential street in Southampton, his wrists were chained together in handcuffs. Police officers, who he thought were coming to his aid, had fallen for the lies of his attacker, Vickrum Digwa, a 23-year-old Sikh man who claimed the 18-year-old finance student had racially abused him.
