@alpha899566 @ClaudiaWebbe Ah, so you are another Jew hating Nazi? Thanks for the head's up. I'll stop paying attention to anything you say because it's all garbage.
English

@ohmsonite I'm also in Evan and Sheep's funds. It's a good problem to have!
English

@alpha899566 @ClaudiaWebbe No but I am a big fan of freedom, democracy, and governments that promote the broad welfare of their people.

@oelma__ The only one that's a really sensible choice is number three. I'd prefer a 10 mm though.
English

@TheatreMusic Not an idiot at all. He's actually quite correct on his history. Not sure what the bug up your ass is here. Such a nasty timeline spewing hate left and right.

What an amazing tweet. I have a great uncle who died on Dec 8th 1941 in the Japanese attack on the Philippines and my family has nothing but respect for the Japanese today. A truly incredible country. Besides, look how far we've come....Americans widely recognize today that the best baseball player to ever play the game is Japanese!
English

We Japanese witnessed this more than half a century ago when we fought against the Americans.
When one of their military aircraft was shot down and the pilot found himself adrift alone in the vast Pacific, they did not hesitate to send out a Catalina flying boat to search for him and rescue him, despite the risk of being shot down themselves.
We were not capable of doing that.
And so we were defeated.
In that sense, the Americans have not changed at all since those days.
That is precisely what makes them America.
SaltyGoat@SaltyGoat17
IDIOTS: “You would do all of this for a single pilot?” US: “Since you had to ask, you’ll never know what I means to be an American”

@jill_d35 @ClaudiaWebbe I am no fan of his negotiating style. Its unhinged. However, Ive seen enough of it to know it's how he gets things done. If he gets that nuke material out of Iran, it will be a good thing.
English

@MBbiotech @ClaudiaWebbe I think we've all had it with mouthy Americans right now. Trump was about to put the whole nation, and wider region out of business, just to stroke his own ego. Have some humility ffs.
English

If true, this would be big: FT: Trump says US and Iran will ‘dig up and remove’ nuclear material ft.com/content/2868ed… via @ft

Number 1) anyone who calls my generation lazy, entitled, and spoiled…isn’t in my good graces. Number 2) they put in less in SSA and medicare than they take out which our generation is paying for. Number 3) nowadays people pay for 2 people’s student loans, extremely high health insurance, childcare payments, and they don’t leave congress!! In 1970 social security tax was 7% tax it’s almost 16% now. They have doubled our taxes and are taking more and telling gen z they are the entitled ones.
English

Every BOOMER with this take should look up the job they had in their 20s. Find the median pay for that job NOW. If you went to college make sure to include the cost of student loan repayments NOW. Include the cost of insurance NOW. Then look up the EXACT SAME first house you bought and let me know if you can buy it NOW.
OTHERWISE STFU ABOUT THE DISCUSSION
Lee in Iowa@Lee_in_Iowa
Boomer here. I bought my first house after ten years of saving like crazy. And the interest was 14.5%. I don’t know where kids got the idea that they were due a house and new car at college graduation, but that’s NOT how it ever was.
English

@krassenstein I thought you became Canadian? Who the hell let you back in?
English

So let me get this straight…
•$40 billion spent
•300+ Americans wounded
•Over a dozen killed
•Oil prices doubled
•U.S. bases severely damaged
And what do we get?
Iran keeps its uranium.
No nuclear deal.
The Strait of Hormuz still unstable.
And the world sees us as weaker, not stronger.
Sounds about right for a Trump deal.

@MarioNawfal @engo2_a Mario, rooting for the enemy is a very, very bad look

@viriat_lusitano @ClaudiaWebbe The final chapter in this is yet to be written, Lusitano. Let's at least agree that we both hope for a better future for these deeply oppressed people. This isn't Portugal, my friend.
English

To my knowledge, Iran has very few expansionist ambitions.
And before you spout your nonsense about the liberation of the Iranian people, let me remind you that in Afghanistan, under Soviet occupation, the women looked like those in the first photo, and after the American liberation, like those in the second.

English

Iran says the U.S. agreed to:
1—Commitment to non-aggression
2—Continuation of Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz
3—Acceptance of uranium enrichment
4—Lifting of all primary sanctions
5—Lifting of all secondary sanctions
6—Termination of all UN Security Council resolutions
7—Termination of all Board of Governors resolutions
8—Payment of compensation to Iran
9—Withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from the region
10—Cessation of war on all fronts, including against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
