The best way to ensure employers don’t exploit immigrant workers AND leave American workers behind is to demand that everyone who works in the United States has the same protections, pay & rights. All work is dignified & all workers in our country deserve to be treated equally.

Dear Elected Officials:
Walk a picket line, donate to striking workers, write that letter to the union-busting CEO on behalf of organizing workers, make that call, do SOMETHING to support workers. It makes your late requests to get some of those “union walkers” out a lot easier.

On Saturday I met Adam, today he &1700 of his Disney co-workers filed for an election at the NLRB to join @ActorsEquity-they have asked Disneyland to recognize the union since they have a super majority of cards. Let’s hope Disney does the right thing! #UnionizeCalifornia

WTF? The New York Times just ran a headline that reads, "How Biden’s Immigration Fight Threatens His Biggest Foreign Policy Win." Let’s be clear: NONE of what’s happening is because of President Biden. It’s Republicans exploiting immigration for politics. Period. Shame on NYT.

Last Tuesday, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors met for the first time since the holiday break. During my board comments, I thanked the many County workers who had to work during the holiday season to keep the County of Monterey’s functions operating.
