🔍 Key result: despite added realism, the model shows bifurcation structures consistent with the simpler SIRSIR framework, suggesting that *implicit vector dynamics* can still capture essential transmission features.

🦟📊 New paper out in One Health Dengue is no longer just tropical. Our study shows that large outbreaks can occur even when R₀ < 1, driven by infected travelers and stochastic effects — as seen in the 2024 outbreak in Italy.
