@alexgibson3d I'd love to see more manufacturers switch to a biodegradable spool. Cardboard or plastic alternatives (I've seen companies making alternative plastic from seaweed and milk)... but having approximately 5000 empty spools, reuse is at least a good option.

@MakerBoxMe Fantastic to see spool reuse. Sadly I am a lot more than 106 miles from Chicago, I hope eventually some UK based manufacturers will accept spools.

The final explorer filament still hadn't gotten released from customs so I grabbed a filament at ERRF. Will be getting the Maker Boxes out on Friday. I apologize for the delay!

Due to a filament getting stuck in customs, Maker Boxes will go out after ERRF. it should be arriving Thursday or Friday so I'll get it sampled up and sent out as soon as I get back from ERRF.

Things are currently on time to get the Maker Boxes out tomorrow, but with a hurricane predicted to come this week we need to do some prep. We'll get tracking info out later today, but it may be a day or two before we get them to the post office. We appreciate your understanding!

With @MidwestRRfest going on this month (omg I'm so not ready!) I'm expecting to be gone from the 22nd to the 27th, as with RMRRF, I'll do my best to get as much done as possible before I leave so there's not too much of a delay in getting the June boxes out. #3DPrinting

One of the filaments that was supposed to arrive last week has been delayed by UPS. It was ordered with what I thought was plenty of time, but 🤦‍♂️ I'm trying to find a replacement I can get quickly to hopefully not delay the Maker Boxes too much longer. Sorry about this 😕

@PINKYTIFFY Mainly logistics and keeping the finances separate. Having the 2 boxes separated by 2 weeks with shipping helps me balance things out. Maker Box has the option to add the UFO accessory and project now. In a couple months I'll have new boxes though that will be used for both.

@MakerBoxMe I currently have the everything box and the ufo box plus nano subscriptions. I like them both. At this point, what’s stopping you from combining the two??

It's been 6 months since Alien3D took over Maker Box... thank you to all who have stuck with us so far! We'd like to know what you think so far? What can we improve on? What are we doing right and what are we doing wrong?

@rcmaniac25 This month going out next week, only 1 filament is a high temp one. Really trying to learn and balance things out. Haven't gotten a ton of feedback yet other than a "too much ABS" the first couple months. So all feedback is extremely welcomed. Thank you!

@MakerBoxMe I've enjoyed the slight format change with using little cards. I wish the explorer wasn't majority hardened nozzle/enclosure filament, as it was originally pitched as "more advanced then just PLA" not "everything but PLA" (but I talked to you at RMRRF about that)
