These are the buttons from my wife's granddad's WW2 RAF uniform. When you put them together, they make a mini-compass, for use if you get shot down behind enemy lines (which he did). It's the most Q-Branch thing I've ever seen.

Cooked a bacon sandwich this morning. Followed a YouTube chef demo involving frying the bacon in water. Took four times as long and eventually had to drain the water and blowtorch the bacon to get it crispy. Moral: Never follow a YouTube chef demo.
