@DowntownFrank Not sure this isn’t just the usual media noise. All the talk I hear from members is about the choice of the candidates on the ballot and not bringing Boris back. Even if some perhaps regret losing him.

.@DIBLiv campaigned for a city mayor. But the time has come to move on with a different governance model- we do still have a city region mayor. Crucially @lpoolcouncil needs to start to deliver progress and growth again, it doesn’t much matter what the model is…

@DowntownFrank Not sure quite yet Frank. Chesham was manly HS2 protest vote and having been to Batley 3 times in last couple of weeks, including yesterday was buoyed by support from very unusual quarters although not quite enough. Galloway antics also helped Labour to galvanise support I feel.
