@iSlimfit Everyone uses the services provided by their local council, whether they realise it or not.

Council tax is the boldest bill in the UK. You pay it whether you use the services or not, it goes up every April without asking, and if you miss it they escalate faster than any other creditor.

The single biggest upgrade the web could receive, is allowing the user to open a website, without a cookie pop-up, and simply read the page without it skipping all over the place.

UK Folks. Salt and vinegar crisps used to be in the blue coloured packets. That’s the timeline I lived in. I remember when it changed to green. Who else lived this timeline with me?

@PeterjgrahamN @AndieAndie54183 I've fallen off the edge of a pavement. Admittedly, it was after several Jagerbombs and Baby Guinesses, but still. Never trust an edge.

@AndieAndie54183 Why do people not walk right on the edge of cliffs when the chance of falling off is the same as falling off a pavement (and that never happens)

@AndieAndie54183 It wasn't even on the ground, and I wasn't directly underneath it, but I couldn't help instinctively flinching at this. The noise and downdraft have an incredibly powerful psychological effect. Which is probably a good thing - the last thing you want is to underestimate the risk.

@DeaneJessep @DrNeilStone But the reason given for rejecting vaccines is exactly the same reason for rejecting all of those. The claim is that the human body is capable of surviving on its own, without any help. But it's funny how the people making that claim are selective about which help they accept.

Guess we got nothing from refrigeration, air conditioning, high-quality clothing, clean water, marriage, or literally everything else that actually transformed human survival: clean drinking water with filtration and chlorination; modern sewage systems and solid waste management; pasteurisation of milk and refrigeration for safe food storage; improved nutrition and food abundance ending scurvy, rickets, pellagra and malnutrition; basic hygiene with soap, handwashing and bathing; germ theory and public health education; better housing and reduced urban crowding; central heating to prevent winter deaths; durable clothing for protection from elements; stable two-parent marriages for resource sharing and child-rearing; antibiotics turning infections treatable; safer childbirth practices and obstetric antisepsis; declining fertility rates with better birth spacing; rising economic prosperity, literacy and living standards; paved roads and safer transport. Funny how “relying on our immune system” coincided with open sewers, raw milk from tubercular cows, filthy streets, rags for clothes and weak diets — turns out engineering the environment, sanitation and prosperity beat pretending biology alone was enough. But sure, let’s pretend vaccines were the solo hero while ignoring the entire sanitary revolution.

It's not a conspiracy theory to remind people that when we relied on our immune system before vaccines existed, life expectancy was 40 and one in 5 babies didn't survive to see their first birthday

If your response to an attack on a Jewish charity's vehicles is to question why the charity exists, your question tells us far more about you than you will ever learn from the answers to your question.

The stupidity is off the charts It is a charity, Hatzola, which was set up, funded and run by the Jewish community on behalf of the whole community (anyone who needs it, regardless of race or religion). The Jewish community saw a need, and mobilised to fix it.
