Russian soldiers were driven en masse into an assault under the scorching sky and the whistle of incoming shells. Commanders were shouting over the radios, artillery was pounding ahead, and then the occupiers suddenly stopped right in front of Ukrainian positions.
What happened next shocked even the Ukrainian fighters: the enemy infantry simply dropped their weapons, raised their hands… and surrendered. Instead of launching a massive attack, the invaders went into captivity as a whole unit.
