@vurnt22 I love this song. Especially live. And I know Page's guitar work is sublime here. But what I love most is the way the song is elevated by the fluidity of all the musicians' performances. They make it more than the sum of its parts. And what incredible parts they were.

The next time you listen to The Rain Song? Try to focus only on John Paul Jones’s parts- bass, cello, piano, & mellotron. This is a challenge because the guitar is essential, & foregrounded in the mix. It is an astonishing performance. It belongs in the Mellotron Hall Of Fame.
