If England think Thomas Tuchel will bring home the World Cup, they’re living in a dream. Good coach, yes. But massively overrated at the very top level.

@MUFC__Prince He would have prevented that goal there if he was quick enough. He let his man run past him in the build-up, too.

Amorim never doubted Mainoo’s talent. But he was right - he lacks the pace to play as an 8. At this level, if you can’t cover ground or recover, you get exposed. We saw it again in that goal.

@MUFC__Prince Amorim came and immediately helped the board to identify what the team needed. His ideas were the reason we signed good players last summer.

They signed Ugarte, Mazraoui, and Zirkzee - none of them have really established themselves. De Ligt? People said he wasn’t good enough last season. He’s improved, but he’s spent too much time injured. The only time INEOS actually got it right was under Amorim. Managers help to identify good talents, and Amorim was good at it.

I trust Ineos when it comes to signing players Buying hype and buying a player that will click is different Remember we once buy : Fellaini Schederlin Van de beek Fred Urgate And many more To me I want a brozovic type of player than Kante type A midfielder that can control the ball Use the ball well Not only marking just like Madrid midfielders

Japan just showed the importance of structure. They pressed, defended and played through England’s midfield comfortably. Especially before Mainoo was taken off. Their movement, triangle passing and attacking patterns showed a properly coached team. And the intensity was there for 90 minutes. Talent is good. But without the right structure and mentality, it’s not enough. Japan proved that tonight.
