It has now been three weeks since the Nigerian Army and the Joint Security Task Force reclaimed Orsu community from IPOB/ESN, yet His Excellency Peter Obi has remained silent. One would expect him to at least acknowledge the security forces for the good work they are doing in the South East, particularly in Imo and Anambra States. Instead, he acts as though he is unaware of what is happening in the region, while showing keen interest in events elsewhere in the country. Not once has Mr. Peter Obi condemned the atrocities committed by IPOB/ESN in the South East. Is it fear? Or is he worried about losing relevance, knowing that anyone who speaks against these groups is often branded a saboteur in certain circles? 🇳🇬

Illiterate are the highest peak. My father state of origin at birth was Kwara state. Okun nation was merged to from Kogi state and boom, his state of origin shifted to Kogi state by default not by choice. I was born in Lagos state but my state of Origin remains Kogi state. By Nigeria law, you can’t change your state of origin. Where you come from a claim is tied to your local government. Should Nigeria try to abolish this system, it will trigger the biggest civil war in the history of Nigeria. Nigeria is not a nation but a multiethnic and multi religious state. Every ethnic group knows their boundaries. Those of us who are Yoruba people from Kogi state know that we are not the same with Ebira people even though we share the same state. When it goes tough everyone will claim their local government not even their state of origin.
