Our 4th graders are STAAR ready after having 2 days of Glow Day Math Review!

During our SEL time last week scholars wrote positive phrases or wrote something kind to their classmates. I joined in of course and they had so many nice things to say. This is my why! @CHISDCP @DrXavierLewis @TangieSmith6

Our scholars had fun exploring area and perimeter in the hallway during our measurement unit. @CHISDCP

We were all so happy to be able to transform our class and complete Menu Math this week. Scholars pretended to be waiters/waitresses and collected food orders. Once information was collected, they calculated their totals, they answered questions and had a quick write.

We learned how to use Versatiles last week. So excited to add this to our small group rotation! @CHISDCP

We also engaged in Jot Thoughts to brainstorm words to help us create a silly sentence! We’ve done so much this week and it’s only Tuesday! I wish I could post more than 4 photos as a time! Fourth grade is having a great week!
