Today is Tartan Day! The day was first celebrated in 1987 in Nova Scotia and has been celebrated nationally since 2010.
Canada's Official Tartan was designed in 1964 by David Weiser.

Newfoundland and Labrador:
The tartan was designed by Samuel Wilansky, a store owner in St. John's, in 1955. It was adopted in 1973. The white, gold and yellow come from the province's official anthem. Green is for forests, white for snow and brown for the Iron Isle.

The overwhelming majority of Americans (polls show over 80%) oppose the deportation of people like this woman. In every previous administration, including Trump's first, this woman would not have been a priority for enforcement.

A U.S. Army staff sergeant and his wife arrived at his base in Louisiana last week, expecting to begin their life together as newlyweds. ICE has arrested and caged her instead. She was brought to the USA as a toddler. These people should be citizens.
