Peter Doocy:”Donald Trump”. Humillante.

Watching Indian right-wingers perform their circus is endlessly entertaining. They actually claim Xi is "high caste." Xi’s grandfather was just a poor farmer from rural China — completely unaware he’s now a Brahmin in their fantasy. If the ultra-common Chinese surname Xi counts as high caste, then congratulations: all 1.4 billion Chinese are Brahmins, the pinnacle of Indian hierarchy. Their logic is impeccable.

Snehal, that post is obviously a lie. When China’s largest city is literally called Shanghai, how can “Shang” possibly be a lower caste? That’s as absurd as naming India’s capital “Dalit”. India is a great country, but some Indians are busy ruining its image with this kind of lying.

You expose nothing but your own desperation and stupidity. Anyone with a normal IQ knows “Shang” is a positive word in China,not a lower caste — that’s why our biggest city is Shanghai. By spreading dirty lies, you only smear India and prove you’ve run out of cards. When other nations fight with swords, you fight with the shit from your own asses— which perfectly exposes your pure Dalit bloodline.

Jack Ma: This Indian Dalit thinks China has a Vaishya-like lower caste called “Shang” — and that I belong to it🤣 But wait, my first job was a university teacher(Shi). I also served as a government official (Shi). Only later did I quit and build Alibaba as a merchant (Shang). So if Shi & Shang are indian like castes, then I must be an Indian god who can freely change my own bloodline! All Chinese can do the same! Conclusion: all Chinese are your Indian gods😂.
Observer01@ProjectedBeing

@btarunr This the reality of Shang caste men when they work hard and become successful. Shi caste men got jealous of Jack Ma, they used institutions to steal from him. In Chinese caste system, Shang caste men can never be trusted by Shi caste men.

Alibaba getting stolen and ripped away from Jack Ma remains the biggest blackpill for Chinese founders. Just the ease with which the state could snatch away something you’ve spent your whole life building. Indian twitter opened this wound this week to devastating effect.

Michael Anti@mranti

Stop embarrassing yourself. Shi was not a caste—it was an occupation. Most shi in imperial China were farmers themselves or came from farming families. They became officials by passing the imperial examinations, essentially a nationwide civil service exam. No shi would regard nong (farmers) as a lower caste, because that would mean looking down on their own roots. Even the emperor was expected to personally take part in ceremonial ploughing each year to show respect for agriculture. The whole point of the system was that a farmer's son could become a shi through education and achievement. That's exactly how the system was designed to work, and exactly why it was fundamentally different from your caste system.

No. In many other societies, a peasant who achieved extraordinary success—or whose son did—could rise to the highest ranks of society, become the equal of nobles, and in some cases even marry into royal families. In the traditional Indian caste system, however, caste status was fundamentally inherited by birth. No matter how successful a person became, a lower-caste individual could still face social barriers and discrimination, let alone be widely accepted as a marriage partner by the highest castes.

@motherfckangrez @Lychg3 No. In ancient china, a shang(metchant)'s song can also take the national service examination(科举考试), and if he pass, he instantly become a shi(government official), and could marry into elite families. How could this be caste?

To Indians: China's 士农工商 (shi-nong-gong-shang) system was not your caste system. (1) The Indian system holds that your social rank is determined by birth and cannot fundamentally be changed, regardless of your occupation. (2) China's system was the opposite: your social rank could change with your occupation rather than being fixed by bloodline. (3) For example, if a merchant(商 shang)'s son passed the imperial examination(科举考试)—a nationwide civil service exam (yes, China had civil service exams over 1,000 years ago) open to almost all commoner males—he immediately became a government official (士shi), one of the highest-status groups in society. (4) Not only that, he could marry into elite families and, in exceptional cases, even marry a princess. (5) Under the traditional Indian caste system, by contrast, even a lower-caste man who achieved wealth, power, or fame could face severe social punishment for marrying into a higher caste, because caste status was determined by birth rather than achievement.
