It was great to be joined by @Norma4Mayor, @GlindonMary, @CMcKinnellMP, @efoody, and lots of Labour Party members in Longbenton. We talked to local residents about their priorities - which will help shape my Mayoral Manifesto.

Delighted to move this motion calling on the Government to establish a central unit to monitor, assess and address abuse of councillors, improve general public’s understanding of councillors, and to continue supporting councils tackling abuse and intimidation at a local level.

North Tyneside Council Result #LE2024: LAB: 51 (=) CON: 8 (-1) IND: 1 (+1) Labour HOLD.

A fantastic result in North Tyneside, we had 47 Labour councillors of 60 before the elections and we now have 51. North Tyneside has once again endorsed Labours leadership of this borough. A special note to Andy Holdsworth, in St Mary’s safest Tory seat now has a Labour Cllr.
