We’ll have to see going forward especially with the upcoming Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave game and how much that’ll cost. I think they’ll make that at the $70 range just like the new Yoshi game.

Nintendo’s last financials reported that software sales were lower than expected, and I think that was a wake up call for them that EVERY game being 70$+ does NOT work💀 Glad they’re actually committing to Variable pricing, having this be 60$ physical, 50$ digital is huge

So we got: 60 digital = 70 physical (example yoshi book game) 50 digital = 60 physical (example splatoon raiders) So what will a big AAA tier Nintendo game cost. Will Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, a $70/$80 or a $60/$70? 🤔🤔🤔

Shigeru Miyamoto made a surprise appearance at the premiere of the Japanese version of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie!
He says Chris Meledandri entrusted all of Japan to him so he felt a lot of pressure. He says for Japan it is not a “localization” but a “Japanese version”. There are phrases in the film that are unique to Japan. He says they have been writing the script together in Japanese from the very start!

Shigeru Miyamoto told the story of how Donald Glover became Yoshi!
He said Donald Glover really wanted to be in the Mario Movie and said he’ll even play Yoshi. They responded “You know Yoshi only says ‘Yoshi’, right”. Donald Glover said something like “I can do 20 different types of ‘Yoshi’”.
He said there isn’t a Japanese VA for Yoshi as they decided that Donald Glover can be Yoshi in all versions of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie around the world.

Shigeru Miyamoto says he was originally thinking the Mario Movie sequel would take place in the Mushroom Kingdom but Chris Meledandri said they would like to try to do Galaxy. Miyamoto thought “that’s perfect.”!
“I thought ‘that’s perfect’. I could really see how the world of the Mario games will unfold in the movies from now on with Galaxy.
It isn’t a Galaxy in the sky of New York, but it’s a Galaxy in the sky of the Mushroom Kingdom.”
