The Lakers are in a weird spot. You can make the argument they are the third best team in the league when healthy but there's a big gap between the Thunder and Spurs and the rest of the league. The third place team has never felt further away from title contention.

It just hit me. DeAndre Ayton has a player option, Vando has 2 more years, & Jake Laravia has another year. Rob Pelinka about to run it back with this same group except Austin Reaves will be paid $35M per year
