A question for all the #JamesBond fans: Apart from OHMSS, which Bond film do you most personally associate with Christmas. Is it a feeling? A memory? A cinema release? A TV premiere? A gift? Please share some festive Bond stories. 🍸🎄

@TheStingisBack This was the film that I watched with my Best Man the night before I got married. It was a last-minute checklist of "Don't let this happen!"

Before The Hangover (2009), there was Very Bad Things (1998) A Vegas bachelor party descends into pure fearless pitch-black chaos: a dead hooker, murdered security guard, and five friends spiralling towards the bleakest of endings. Another underrated '90s gem This is dark as...

@TuckyVersionOne @Dubliam2003 Carver is a fascinating villain. Obviously, a "What if?" to Robert Maxwell being a Bond villain and how to control the news at a time when dial-up Internet was becoming the norm in most homes. Nearly 3 decades on, it felt like we didn't learn the lesson about media moguls.

@thee_leiter Of all the actors, Brosnan being the only one to essentially not leave on his own terms is really sad because no one loved playing James Bond more than Pierce Brosnan; he was the perfect age at the time to have had the boyhood dream from Goldfinger onwards.

THEE E. Leiter, Tailor is a guy in Washington
@NotPerfectedYet The unrelenting, man-spirited disparagement Brosnan gets online coupled with the disgraceful decision of EON not to re-up his contract for at least another film. Every other Bond got to end their run on their own terms

@ShaggyTheTyke Quantum of Solace's camerawork is definitely spawned from the Bourne sequels shaky-cam, but generally, at this time, audiences didn't want action heroes to he OTT or unrealistic. The Fast and Furious franchise was crawling at this time, and Vin Diesel didn't get xxxx over.

@NotPerfectedYet Agree. DC Bond films were a direct response to Bourne and its horrible 'shaky shaky camera makes action sequences better' cinematography.

Disagree. Brosnan's films thrived while Austin Powers headed to insignificance after these conditions film. Bond became serious and dark because of Jadon Bourne, which found it's audience due to changing attitudes in culture post 9/11.
Emir Han@RealEmirHan

Daniel Craig said the reason James Bond movies got serious and dark was because of Austin Powers movies “We had to destroy the myth because Mike Myers f*cked us.” “I am a huge fan, so don’t get me wrong, but he made it impossible to do the gags." x.com/VideoChannel13…
