President Trump’s endorsement means the world to me. I am humbled by his faith in me as a Senator and as a friend. On a professional level, I am proud to have been there at the beginning when President Trump — through sheer force of will —achieved the greatest political comeback in American history. On a personal level, I genuinely enjoy our friendship. He’s an awesome golfing buddy, who I have yet to beat. I look forward to being one of the driving forces in the U.S. Senate to enact President Trump’s agenda to make America more prosperous and more secure. Thank you, Mr. President.

CNBC correctly told Trump that inflation had come down to about 3% when Biden was leaving office. Trump falsely responded: "No it wasn't. It was down to 5%, it wasn't down to 3%." Inflation was 3.0% in the month of Trump's inauguration, January 2025. It hadn't been close to 5% since early 2023. Trump then said he should get credit for how prices fell right after he was elected in November 2024. Except...not only did prices continue rising in November and December 2024, the *inflation rate* rose both months: from 2.6% in pre-election October 2024 to 2.7% in November 2024 to 2.9% in December 2024. I cane to realize just how many bad people there are out there I never suspected but see Trump bring it out of people. With time passing the racism of both him and his cult following has began to show up more and more. He hates who they hate. He makes them feel like they don't have to whisper about it anymore I see more and more situations where it's seems like the clock is being turned back rather than making progress away from that type of evil like we'd think is a thing of the past.

That is one thousand times more than his “donated salary.” Here is the math, the data is publicly available: The estimated cost of a single golf trip is over $4 million. This includes Air Force aircraft, Coast Guard support, overtime pay, and more. The Secret Service alone pays up to $650 per night for lodging at his Mar-a-Lago resort. In total, Trump made close to 100 trips to play golf in 2025. That amounts to roughly $400 million in taxpayer money.
