Let me educate you not with anger, but with truth. You assume South Africans lack exposure. You assume we believe other African countries are poor and undeveloped. That is not the case. We know the reality. We know Nigeria has oil. We know Ghana has gold. We know Kenya has tech. We know Botswana has diamonds. We know Zambia has copper. We know Zimbabwe has platinum and lithium. We know the DRC sits on $24 trillion in minerals. We know Africa is rich. But here is what you do not understand, wealth beneath the ground does not translate to prosperity above it. You can have all the minerals in the world but if your leaders steal, your constitutions hostile towards humans rights, if your institutions are corrupt, if your people are divided by tribe, if your healthcare collapses, if your schools crumble, if your youth flee then you are poor. Not in resources. In governance. In accountability. In dignity. We do not look down on Africa. We look at the mirror Africa refuses to face. We see our own flaws corruption, unemployment, crime and we fight them. We protest. We vote. We demand better. That is what makes us different. We do not run. We stay. We build. We hold our leaders accountable, even when it hurts. You say we lack exposure. But we see you. We see your leaders flying overseas to get treated, some in our country to get medical treatment, while your children starve. We see your ports exporting raw minerals while your people have no jobs. We are not blind. We are not ignorant. We are honest. The difference between South Africa and many other African countries is not wealth. It is the willingness to confront failure. We own ours. You run from yours. That is not a lack of exposure. That is a lack of accountability. And until you fix that, no mineral, no resource, no tweet will save you. Go home. Fix your house. Then talk to us about exposure.

@brokegirlKay In that scenario Czech wud qualify with 4 pnts.South Africa would also qualify with 4 pnts.Only thing that wud still need 2 b determined is who finishes 1st & 2nd between SA Czech. That would depend on FIFA's tiebreakers -goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head criteria, etc

@superjourno This goes to show you that Madala Broos relied on Rhulani Mokoena success, the decline is directly linked to his departure from Downs. Hugo blinded us with wins against minnows, but when he was needed to show his tactical acumen he felt short.

@Sgadi28 Fans want DDC because the club pinches every cent in the transfer market. When experienced players are underperforming , of course supporters will demand opportunities for youngsters. It's hard to justify persisting with campaigners like Mmodi when the output simply isn't there.

@KaizerChiefs Announce the coach. There is too much speculation online and fans are becoming uneasy. Top clubs communicate player movements and new appointments early, which signals intent for the season ahead. Football should be the priority. We are tired looking at our neighbours achievement

It is profoundly heartbreaking to witness another surge of xenophobic violence in #SouthAfrica this week. Hundreds have marched on Parliament, thousands of families have been displaced, and lives have been tragically cut short. These include at least five Ethiopians killed earlier in the attacks, and five Mozambicans who died in Mossel Bay. Thousands more are now fleeing for their lives. To see South Africa turn to xenophobia is a tragic betrayal of the country's struggle for independence and freedom. African nations stood united to dismantle apartheid. Ethiopia proudly supported "Madiba," Nelson Mandela, in 1962 and issued him a passport so he could travel the continent. Other countries helped in many ways, including with political and financial support. Disagreements and grievances must be addressed by the justice system and the rule of law, never through vigilante violence and collective punishment. South Africa deserves better. Africa deserves better. Stop the hate. Protect the vulnerable. Uphold our shared humanity.

@RAbdiAnalyst First of all, you're broke and desperate for engagement. Secondly, nobody asked for your opinion. And thirdly, do us all a favour and stay away from South Africa.

I have stopped going to South Africa for any international conferences for mainly 3 things. 1. Border police rudeness: Some years ago I was invited for a conference on conflicts in the Horn in South Africa. I showed email invite to the border policeman at the desk. He rudely asked: "but why can't you people hold your peace conferences in your homes. Why always come to South Africa?" - I think he had a point. Why must we? Second time it was worse - "But why are you Zomallis and Ethiopians always here." I reminded him I was actually Kenyan, and I was only in the country for 2 days for an international conference Reply: "Sheh, um, eh. But what is the difference" 2. As soon as locals figure out you are a black person, possibly African from another country, the automatic assumption is that you are an illegal migrant. You see immediate hostile reaction. Honestly, I found SA one of the most miserable places on earth in terms of peoples' attitude to foreigners. The visceral hatred towards fellow Africans is unnerving. Still one of the most beautiful geographies in Africa. 3. The state bureaucracy and departments filled with people who actually know very little about the outside world. Most of the best people who made South Africa an outward-looking African power are gone. All remaining are small-time apparatchiks stealing from the state and fat toads serving as diplomats. I feel sorry for South Africa.
