The Nigerian Army’s alarm over low South-East recruitment exposes calculated bigotry against people of SouthEastern extraction. Their own official posts (@HQNigerianArmy) repeatedly tell lies about the SouthEast, falsely tagging routine kidnapping arrests and civilian operations as “IPOB/ESN strongholds” while downplaying the real terrorism and sky-high casualty rates from Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgency up North. SouthEasterners will NOT be sacrificed as cannon fodder for a conflict we did not start, one the Army has refused to manage effectively in its own backyard. The North’s terrorists get amnesty and integration; we get propaganda and body bags. No thanks, we have our spare parts shops to attend to.

If your governor is incapable of logical thinking, you don't have to rush to his defense. Financial institutions, by the very nature of their business, should never be made “easily accessible” in the name of curbing open defecation. That’s treating a symptom while ignoring the disease. Open defecation is the direct result of poverty, broken economic structures, and failed governance. Nigeria still struggles with it because of chronic poverty and zero public infrastructure investment. Pre-Swachh Bharat India had millions practising it daily, not for lack of bank accounts and banking halls with conveniences, but because of corruption, zero toilets, and zero economic opportunity. Strong economies and competent governments build sanitation systems. Banks don’t. Stop the gimmicks. Fix the roots.

N34.44 Trillion naira of our money has vanished into thin air under Tinubu. No wonder they can afford to purchase everyone who is in the market.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Nigeria Is Bleeding From Within It is deeply troubling to read recent World Bank reports indicating that, while Nigeria’s Federation Revenue surged to ₦84 trillion in just three years, a staggering 41% —amounting to ₦34.44 trillion —never reached the Federation Account. This sum exceeds the combined ₦34 trillion earmarked for capital projects in the 2024 and 2025 Appropriation Bills, a comparison that underscores the gravity of the situation and signals that something is fundamentally wrong. This is not a mere oversight; it points to institutionalised corruption on a massive scale. In 1994, when the Okigbo Panel reported about $12.4 billion from the Gulf War oil windfall as unaccounted for, Nigerians were outraged and the nation shook with indignation. Today, an even more troubling situation appears to be unfolding, yet it is met with a disquietening silence. We are trapped in a lethal paradox: Earning more as a nation, yet having less to invest in healthcare, education, and infrastructure. From 2025, systemic “deductions” have allowed agencies to capture more resources than entire states and even critical ministries. These leakages explain why countries with fewer resources are out-performing us across key development indices. With such a broken system, how can we fix power, strengthen our schools, build resilient healthcare, or develop critical infrastructure? Nigeria has no business being poor. We must stop these leakages through disciplined, transparent leadership driven by character. It is time to redirect our hijacked resources back to the people and move Nigeria into the league of developed nations. With our collective resolve to change this corruption-infested system, a New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

In 2014, APC enlisted Omojuwa, Dipo, and others to run a smear campaign against Jonathan. They mocked him with a coffin, called him “Jonathan-Haram,” and Soyinka called his wife a “Shepopotamus.” They also went after Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Now, in 2026, the same APC figures are calling others bullies. Animals in human form.

Olufemi, I have gone through your wall and I clearly see through you. You're part of those claiming to be apolitical but bent on casting aspersions on Peter Obi. Your brief is to confuse the gullible and undecided while hiding your real allegiance. Your kind are more dangerous than the open BAT apologist. Talk about wolf in sheep clothing.

You see the problem I have with you Obidients, if someone doesn't support PO or you're being neutral and castigate all of them, you guys quickly assume the person is Tinubu supporter or APC. Are you telling me there are no other politicians in Nigeria that can work better. Are you telling me Peter Obi would work better as a President than Fashola. There are even some Igbo politicians that would do more than PO. So don't try to assume someone who is supporting this person because he or she doesn't resonate with your choice. Nigerians and emotions ehnnn😀😀😀

You that you’re always here to crowdfund money for sick people who don’t have money to treat themselves and largely because our hospitals are nothing to write home about, is actually asking “so if I don’t support Peter Obi, I’m the enemy?” Yes you’re the enemy and something is fundamentally wrong with your head.

On the flip side, while I am not holding brief for our government and their performance with regards to the economy. I can tell you that Ghana isn’t even in the conversation, bro. The Naira is far stronger than the redenominated Cedi. Take their 50-cedi note....that’s actually the equivalent of 500,000 old cedis. Here’s the reality: when a currency is redenominated, its external purchasing power stays exactly the same. So 10,000 units of the old currency simply become 1 unit of the new one. That’s exactly what happened with the Ghanaian cedi in 2007... one new cedi was set equal to 10,000 old cedis. Which is why a 2-litre Coke costs around 23 cedis in Ghana right now. At today’s exchange rate, that works out to roughly N2,840 (or thereabouts. Meanwhile, you know how much you buy the same 2-litre bottle in Lagos. Let's criticize these people with superior arguments please. When we don't, we shoot ourselves in the leg.
