We have a couple of accounts that do a great job of following and highlighting the AAA Senior baseball in Ontario but there is some high caliber baseball being played in the AA and below classifications as well. Our goal is to highlight some of these leagues and teams as well!

Lots of scores coming in from a great opening weekend of Senior ball across the province. Will be doing a weekly recap of Teams of the Week and stand out team performances each Monday recapping the weeks events!

Looks like the OSBA games this weekend got rained out as expected. We have a plethora of action coming this weekend as multiple leagues open up 2025! Looking forward to a great year!

Teams looking for Sr tournaments this year, heres what we can find Port Lambton @PLSPirates June 20-22 New Lowell Tournament June 27-29 Niagara Falls @ExposNF July 25-27 Tillsonburg has hosted a tournament in Early June but I can't find confirmation for 2025.

The Vaughan Vikings who did not classify last season for the OBAs, were the champions of this league in 2024.

Finally out east, the OSBA League is set to get going on May 3rd. This league is split into 2 divisions. Bowmanville, Clarington, Markham, Port Hope and Whitby make up the East Division. York, Martingrove, Vaughan, Milton and Mississauga SW make up the West Division.

Here are the details and dates for the Bruno Leblanc Tournament in July Any teams still looking for tournaments, this is a great option. Assume they would be using the beautiful Oakes Park. Also, a weekend in Niagara Falls can always be fun for a team trip.

It looks like the Clearview Orioles will not be participating this year. Last season, in their 2nd season, the @OSBaysox defeated Ivy in 5 games to take home the 2024 championship. For teams looking for tournaments, New Lowell and Lisle both host tournaments in this region.

Caledon joins this impressive list of teams with Clarksburg Blues also returning. With 2024 classification @NewLowellKnight - AA @BarrieAngels - A Bolton - A Ivy - A Lisle - B Midland - B Creemore - C Orillia - C @OSBaysox - C Mansfield - DNC

Now on to one of the crown jewels. The @NorthDufferinBL which covers the heart land of the province was established in 1930 and is still going strong. This league is scheduled to begin May 4 and consists of 12 Senior Teams with the Caledon Cardinals and debuting this season

Last season Beamsville took home the championship with a pretty dominant season. Believe they also took home the Doug Leach in Port Lambton. Think we saw that @ExposNF are also hosting a tournament in July once again this season. Was a yearly staple prior to covid.

We did hear a couple of @DaddyHacksPod episodes pre covid. Not sure if those guys are still around or not. All teams typically classify Last year: @beamsvilleSR - AA @FECannons - AA @ThoroldAnchors - A host @ExposNF - A @WellandPioneers - A @alliancewagon - B @CobrasSTC - C

On to the @NDBASenior league which actually boasts one of the more informational websites in the province. This league is scheduled to begin on May 12th This league has 7 teams & is one of the most social media driven leagues with a heavy X presence across all teams.

It looks like Walsingham will once again be fielding a team joining Simcoe, Tillsonburg and Port Dover in this loop. All teams have had good showings over the course of the last couple of years in the OBAs. A very strong league here.

Moving on to the Southern Counties Senior League. Albeit a small league in terms of number of teams, these teams a pack a big punch when it comes to play in the province. @SimcoeSrGiants are the defending B champions and will be heading A this year. League play begins May 9

Good to see @Da_Legionnaires back in Senior ball. Although they and @LucanIrish9 did not classify for the OBAs in '24 This league is represented throughout the OBAs with @KincardineCubs in AA, North London in A, Byron, @WNationals2022 and Astros in B Brewers in C

Think we prefer the series structure over a tournament as it gives a clearer picture of the winning team. Last year the Byron Storm won the playoff tournament by defeated Mitchell Astros in the final. Looks like the Forest City Frost are a new entry for 2025

Moving East, we have one of the more fascinating leagues in Ontario, the Midwestern league! Sounds like MOSBL joins the North Dufferin and Niagara leagues in crowning their champion with playoff series rather than a weekend tournament in 2025. '25 is slated to begin May 10

The @WyoCattlebarons were also league champions in 2024 and will host the AA OBAs for the 2nd straight year. This league starts May 9th. The @PLSPirates also host the Dave Leach Memorial Tournament each year in June. Its one of the premiere AA & below tournaments in Ontario

Staying in the West we have the Western Counties League ; home of the 2024 AA Champion @WyoCattlebarons & C Champion @dresdenbulls This league is also home to @seniordiamonds (AA) Chatham JR Corunna Giants (B) Petrolia Raiders (C) @PLSPirates JR/SR (B) Wyoming Wranglers JR
