I didn't "waive down" anything. I said at the end of the day this is a decision POTUS is likely to say rests with political branches -- SCOTUS is not going to say what US immigration policy SHOULD BE on illegal aliens, sojouners, and birther tourism.
But it is a critical existential threat that Congress needs to deal with.
Not allow ChiComs to become citizens via birther tourism is a 90-10 issue. The GOP needs to ride it to a Constitutional Amendment if that's what it takes.
Doing the right thing sometimes is hard. This might be one of those things.

I’m with the former. He’ll say there is so little left. We’ve just about accomplished everything that was an objective. He’ll say that Europe should be thankful as this is in their backyard. He’ll say it is up to the region to capitalize on the work done. I also know in my heart that if the region would step up, we’d be there to help. Short of that, we, as the USA, don’t need it. that’s my current prediction. I don’t have a great track record. I supported the first Gulf war (trombone). Also a vet of that era.
