@mcdevimm @mwillispub I like the implication of the 5th bullet: Let’s take this out of the author’s process and put it in the publishing (or publishing professional’s) process. Some argue that formatting isn’t very important, but it IS important to the reader (including editors and reviewers).

Free-format submissions: Essential parts related to quality of science & integrity of research (COI disclosures, ethics & data availability statements, etc) must be required to fairly assess the article. But formatting concerns can be a distraction. @mwillispub #EASEevents
