Today, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Amman commemorated ‘Pakistan Day’ with a dignified flag hoisting ceremony, held at the Chancery premises. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the Pakistan flag by Maj Gen Khurram Sarfraz Khan HI (M) (Retd), Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the presence of members of the Pakistani diaspora resident in Jordan; prominent Jordanian personalities representing different walks of life; as well as Embassy officers and staff members. At this occasion, special messages from the honourable President; Prime Minister; and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan, were also read out. In his remarks, Ambassador Khurram Sarfraz Khan underscored the significance of the Pakistan Day for the entire nation. He highlighted the enduring relevance of the vision of the nation’s founding fathers, emphasizing the importance of steadfastness, innovation, and collective responsibility in navigating contemporary challenges, faced by Pakistan. While emphasizing the foreign policy priorities of Pakistan, Maj Gen Khurram Sarfraz Khan HI (M) (Retd), Ambassador of Pakistan, specifically mentioned the fraternal ties between Pakistan and Jordan. Ambassador of Pakistan highlighted that both brotherly countries enjoyed close relations, based on mutual trust and confidence. He referred to the visit to Pakistan in November 2025 by His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, that has reset the future course of the fraternal ties between Pakistan and Jordan on a formidable strategic continuum. Ambassador Khurram Sarfraz Khan also lauded the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in Jordan and their role in projecting a positive image of Pakistan in their host country.
