Sometimes I feel like we are over optimizing everything.
Articles were made so people can actually go deep into something,
explain properly, add context, take their time.
But now someone writes all that… and most people will just tap summarize and move on.
Then what is even the point of writing an article?
People say it saves time, but does it really?
We already have tweets for quick stuff.
Articles were for depth.
If everything becomes summary, then we are just turning long form into short form again.
It feels like a reading habit example.
Someone wants to build a habit of reading books.
Then they see a 1 page summary of the whole book.
They read that and feel like they understood everything.
But they didn't.
They just got a surface level idea.
Same thing here.
Even if someone is curious about an article, the summary will pull them toward the shortcut.
Not criticizing the feature.
Just feels like sometimes too many features are not always good.
tbh articles is my most fav feature on X.
