Man United reinforcing the midfield, looking good. I would gladly pay £60m for 28 yo Bruno Guimaraes to replace the 33yo Casemiro who is departing at the end of the season. If we secure this signing early in the window, then the next focus becomes Elliott Anderson/Angelo Stiller type signing.

@The_Franklin_st @badasskachii I thought sell the clauses is on the 'sales' contract. that's an independent document from the player contract. As such, unless it's stated to be valid for a certain period, the sell on clause remains active. Even if utd were to sign him, we are still getting a 20% discount

@Hosang Those two arguments can be true. See, Utd certainly need players, now and even needed under Amorim. I personally wanted Amorim out because the squad was better than his performances.

All of the “Amorim Out” brigade look silly when you say United now needs two new fullbacks to go along with two new midfielders… Maybe the players should be platformed better?

Baleba doesn’t even feel like a ‘gamble’ anymore. 40/50M for a Mainoo backup is good business.

@EverydayMUFC22 Utd are playing fewer games, so performances look better. Compared to his predecessor, Carrick is doing well. but with this squad and schedule, that should be the baseline. The tactical and squad gaps are real and need fixing. Manchester United shouldn’t stick with him long term.

Every match I watch I see holes in the squad. So many players needed for increasing the quality/availability of the squad but also providing more tactical solutions But still Michael Carrick has us in 3rd place. No doubt about it, he’s been incredible

@utdrobbo Maino at 120 is actually too much already. He's coming from 25k, anyway. Should have been around 80k rising gradually tot hat 120k in 2-3 years

At his previous club, Carrick was accused for being too rigid! We are seeing this at utd. Hardly changing what wored for him previously. I don't think that's a good sign!

@RealistGlizzy We have bigger priorities with midfield,LW,LB and another striker if zirkzee leaves,might have to go with what we have at CB, maybe go for someone cheap or on loan for depth depending on what the situation is with de light then

Now that Yoro has gotten more regular minutes and Maguire's contract is basically sorted, what's everyone's position on signing a CB this summer? Licha and De Ligt regular injuries in mind asw, think we need someone like Schlotterbeck if available

🚨🚨| Michael Carrick needs to show greater belief in the rest of the squad. Young players like Zirkzee, Ugarte, and Heaven have clear potential to develop and improve—just as we've seen with Dorgu, Casemiro, and Bruno Fernandes. Trust them to deliver, and they will produce results.

@commissionase Maino, it's a sacable offence for a manager to want to lose him on a free. Regardless of who's hired, Maino has to extend. This doesn't mean it's a guarantee he stays or leaves. Maguire, even as a squad player, he's for keeps next season.

Is it really wise to offer them contracts without hiring a permanent head coach?? What if the coach doesn't wanna use them or Could it be that Carrick keeps the job after this season? This is a weird decision from the club.
