Maine has overwhelmingly adopted a constitutional amendment creating a land-value tax to guarantee single-payer healthcare for anyone at or below the age of eighteen, as well as preventing any individual from prohibiting a child from receiving medical care. Mainers care.

(@PoliGSim) For far too long Oregons workers have gone underpaid and poorly treated. That's why today I signed the Fair Wages Act. This raises the minimum wage in the Portland metro to 16/h, other urban areas to 15/h, and the rest of the state to 13.50/h.

As DGA chair, I want to highlight the very issue of the states themselves. Before I was governor, I spent some time in Congress. Without the people of D.c., we would have collapsed. The states have the power to call to amend the Constitution to give them statehood. We should.
