Just finished STEM ecourse #2 on questioning. Lots of great information on questioning strategies. Even in PreK we can move from basic questions to shaping understanding questions to reflection questions #PLinRISD #RISDSTEM4ALL

I loved seeing the excitement on the kids faces as they crossed the bridge for the first time, instead of having to cross the river to get to school. #RISDSTEM4ALL #PLinRISD

A6 I want to continue to encourage my students and build them up so that when they head off to kindergarten, they KNOW they are smart and ready for the next challenge! #ECEchat

A4 Just look at those little faces! As a teacher, you just want them to learn but you also want what’s best for them. That helps keep your focus on fun engaging, appropriate activities! #ECEchat

A3: I love hands on PD or thematic trainings that go with our units. Our kids love it when we transform the room for them but sometimes it’s hard to come up with new ideas. Meeting with other enthusiastic teachers really helps me brainstorm! #ECEchat

A2: This time of year is always so exciting because they know “things” and lots more vocabulary. When you pop into their center and ask them “what are you learning/doing”, they really engage you in great conversation. #ECEchat

A1: I wish they fully understood the value of hands-on learning in learning centers. Sometimes, parents still think they should be seeing worksheets come home I backpacks. #ECEchat

Talking to your students about your likes and even your dislikes creates an interest/bond between you and your students. They always want to know more and they open up to us as well. I often do crazy things in front of them - like singing, dancing, and drawing #ECEchat

A6: Time in the school day is the obstacle. I want to be great and intend to make changes each day to get there eventually. #ECEchat

A3 Bring in the mystery box the day before. Let students ask questions about what is in it but don’t reveal the contents until the day of the lesson. It really teaches them how to ask great questions too. #ECEchat

A2 An experience is when you get the kids involved and moving, bring in props, add exciting relative things to centers, and add excitement to what you are doing. If the teacher is excited, so are the students. #ECEchat
