Just caught the Coleman Proctor clip on Rodeo Live talking about how these two are done roping together after the Texas Swing. The smoke seems to be around Tomlinson and Wesley Thorp teaming up, which would be a lethal combination. Curious on the ripple effects.

Tanner Tomlinson/Coleby Payne impressed in the team roping, earning the biggest win of their new partnership with an aggregate time of 11.6 seconds on three head. All of their times in Austin were 4.1 seconds or faster. They were also the champions of the National Western and entered Austin No. 5 and No. 7 in the World, respectively. Korbin Rice and Cooper Freeman had never won more than $45,000 in a single ProRodeo season. They won $65,000 for their winning run in Houston. Kimzey solidified his hold on the top of the World Standings last weekend in Little Rock, growing his lead over No. 2 John Crimber to 83 points, the largest margin between 1 and 2 at any point this season. Kimzey won his third event and sealed the deal with a 91.55 on Lights Out. He’s covered six of his last seven, with three 90+ point rides in that time frame. Kimzey leads the Tour in Round Wins (5), 90+ Point Rides (5), Ride% (67.86%), Total Qualified Rides (19), and Event Wins (3). He has the opportunity to stretch his lead even further, but he’ll need to be careful, as Crimber is still well within reach, especially with 120 instead of 80 UTB Points going to the event winner this weekend in the season's lone major. Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira finished second and won over $20,000 each in San Antonio, which powered the two-time World Champions to No. 1 in the PRCA World Standings. They followed it up with an impressive Super Series II sweep in Houston, banking $9,000 with runs of 5.0, 4.9, and 4.8 seconds.

John Crimber had the weekend he needed in Little Rock to keep up with Sage Kimzey. After missing an earlier chance while Kimzey sat out in Bridgeport, Crimber went 2-for-3 in Little Rock with scores of 88.6 and 87.75, taking third and 70 UTB points. It’s his fourth Top 3 of the season and keeps him in striking distance of Kimzey, who leads 637 to 554 with six regular season events remaining. Sage Kimzey made a strategic decision to sit out Bridgeport to make sure he was fully healthy for Little Rock. It paid off, and he has now won the last two UTB events he has competed in, racking up 137 points in Little Rock and 138 in Jacksonville. The 5-for-6 heater has allowed him to open up a lead of 83 UTB Points over John Crimber this season, the largest separation between No. 1 and No. 2 so far in 2026. The seven-time PRCA World Champion continues to get closer and closer to his first PBR World Title.

If John Crimber consistently goes to PRCA events, this interesting becomes one of the most interesting stories of the year to me. Even if he enters the NFR No. 10 or 11, he could ride 8 or 9 in Vegas to snatch a Gold Buckle.

John Crimber wants to make the National Finals Rodeo. Yes, the two-time PBR Teams MVP and one of the most electric bull riders in the world is buying his PRCA rookie card and taking a run at Stetson Wright and the rest of the ProRodeo world. The son of Paulo Crimber, who made 11 PBR World Finals and won the 2004 NFR Average, John grew up around someone who had crossover success from PBR to PRCA. A whirlwind Texas swing helped spark the decision. Despite being denied entry at a few events, he still cashed checks in Florida and made the San Antonio Xtreme Bulls. With $7,000 earned already in PRCA earnings, Crimber plans to chase the yellow bucking chutes in Las Vegas while still competing for a PBR World Title.
