A speedy hunter, the #ArtemisPaleozoo's Coelophysis have a high metabolism that is met with a carnivorous diet. Focusing on small food items, animal care staff reflect the ecology of this species as it once roamed Late Triassic North America. 🐁🦗

A professional paleontologist, Hillary McLean has played a key role as #ArtemisPaleozoo's paleontological consultant. From reviewing info and contributions towards the writing you'll experience in this book, we are thankful for Hillary as a member of our team! 🦕🦖

Being bottle-fed an omnivorous formula every few hours for the first 8 months, he gradually moved to solid food such as leafy greens, fruit, meat, and sweet potatoes (still one of his favorites as an adult) 🥬🍎 Art by team member @Doodlize ! 🎨

Kronos, the #ArtemisPaleozoo's Andrewsarchus, wasn't always the tough-looking giant we know today. In this #ThrowBack, here's a look during his younger years! Kronos as a calf was often excitable and full of energy, only to take his prolonged (and needed) afternoon naps 1/2 💤

With a long roster of extinct life that call the #ArtemisPaleozoo home, team member/artist @alexeratops was inspired to highlight some choice species! 🦕🦈🪲 From sea dwellers, forest friends, and behemoths, we are very proud in representing such a diverse cast of creatures! 1/2

In the need for a sweet treat? The #ArtemisPaleozoo has the answer - PaleoPops! 🍦🦕 Made with fairtrade and organic ingredients, PaleoPops come in multiple flavors like Parasaurolophus cocoa, Carcharodontosaurus chip, and vegan options such as Carnotaurus fruit medley. 🍫🥭

With the temperatures high, our Today at the Paleozoo events will be kept indoors! ☀️ Events include offering our ammonites some fun puzzle feeder enrichment, a talk on the elegant, extinct shark Aquilolamna, and more (AC included in each building!).

When picturing a dinosaur, you may imagine the most massive or towering species - though Confuciusornis is just as spectacular to us in its stature 🕊 About the size of a dove, these naturally curious dinosaurs can be seen swooping the trees of our Time of Flight Aviary! 🌳

Soaring high like a Kepodactylus, Ernest (@Bluntosaurus1) is one of our great artists who has contributed to the flying reptiles of our upcoming art book. 🌱🪽 An outdoor enthusiast and adventurer of dinosaur museums, check out his art today! 🎨
