After three assassination attempts, some people say that President @realDonaldTrump is one lucky man. I don’t think luck has anything to do with it—I believe it is the hand of God. What do you think?

The annals of building a football team by Chef Hortiz.
Year 1: Hortiz came in in Feb 24', finding a cap hell and a roster shy of 25 players signed to contracts.
Then,
Resigning: Mack, Bosa, Gilman, Dicker
Signing: Poona, Dissly, and Fulton
Draft days 1 & 2: Alt, McConkey, Colson.
Reminder: The entire fan base wanted Nabers over Alt, and he traded up to get McConkey.
Day 3 contributors: Eboigbe, Tarheeb, Cam Hart, & Vidal.
Additions in season openers: Molden and Tart.
****
Year 2: ~25 players were signed to contracts in Feb 25'.
Then,
Resigning Molden, Tart, Mack, TJeff, and DP.
Signing Donte, Hand and KA.
Draft days 1 & 2: Hampton, Tre Harris, Caldwell
Day 3 contributors: Gadsden, KLS and Mickens.
Mid-season trades (in response to Mack and Alt injuries): Oweh in exchange for Gilman and a 5th round. He will get a 3rd round comp pick for this deal next year. Penning in exchange for 6th round.
****
Year 3: ~30 players were signed to contracts in Feb 2025.
Then,
Resigning Mack, Tart, TJeff, and DP
Signing Biadasz, Kolar, Ingold, Strange, and Mitchell.
Draft days 1 & 2: Mesidor and Slaughter
Day 3 contributors: To be seen.
Two thing we now know:
A. Seven OL players will compete for the 2 starting Guard positions.
B. Hortiz kept $27M for FAs and trades to be made between now and October.

Hortiz will enter Feb 27' with nearly 40 players signed to contracts (after Tuli and DJ will be extended). This is 15+ players more than in his first year.
All in all, Hortiz used street FAs to complete the 53 roster in year 1. He then meticulously built the roster over three years, reaching the point of equilibrium. Namely, he drafted well, Harbaugh developed the drafted players because his coaching staff is competent. Hortiz will resign the best players he drafted, and he will only pay big money to the players he knows. He won't rely on external FAs like Telesco whose class B coaching staffs were never able to develop round 3-7 players in a consistent manner.
