@Mark98699881 Driving is virtually your only option. Tough location to come from alas. Heavy traffic and no public transport unless you can find a bus of some sorts going to Boston.
English

@RaeComm Going to be staying in Cape cod, what is best option for getting to the stadium?
English

@hawkeyethenoo67 There will be trains to get you back to Boston after the Haiti game. This is the transport plan as I outlined but will require buying a ticket for those special trains. The issue is how to get from Boston to outlying areas thereafter.
English

@RaeComm Thank you! I grew up watching you and Tommy Smyth on ESPN covering the CL. I remember being so excited when ESPN added for CL coverage. I was always jealous of ESPN Atlantic Viewers who got more games.
English

To quickly answer a couple of questions from today‘s meeting:
- Details to come out soon re how those with match tickets can buy return train tickets from Boston So. Station to Foxboro
- Important to know if you’ve chosen to be Providence based, there is no special train service

Back in Boston this week and have a meeting later about public transport during the World Cup. So if any Scotland fans who follow, have any specific questions, put them in the comments underneath & I‘ll do my best to raise them.
English

@RaeComm I contacted Providence visitors bureau and was told "We are currently in the process of organizing transportation from Providence to Gillette Stadium. More information to follow soon! Please feel free to visit our website at
GoProvidence.com for more information."
English

@turramike9 Honest suggestion as someone who knows the terrain would be from Norwood to contact local taxi firm early and have them take you and arrange a meet point for the way back. You’ll have to walk a bit but parking is limited and might be the optimal way under the circumstances.
English

@RaeComm will this be non stop? we are going to be based in norwood which appears to be on the line and hoped to jump on there
English

@RaeComm I use YourParkingSpace when I go to Anfield (Like Airbnb for driveways), which is very handy, but it sounds like the overriding goal should be to get to Boston and go by train from there.
English

@RaeComm Hi Derek yes bus to games and hire a car. Danvers quiet so looks like Salem and Peabody. Noted your mates bar.
English

@ullevimay1983 Hi, Keith. First question. Will you have a car for getting around? That will impact what recs I give you.
English

@RaeComm A bit late Derek apologies. Thanks for the heads up re transport post game. Apart from your mates bar in Salem any recommendations within touching distance of Danvers?
English

@hawkeyethenoo67 Yes it’s a problem due to the late hour. Everyone is going to have to have a plan for that if you’re not in the Boston area.
Train will get you to Boston but after that, many will have to plan for taxi, Uber etc.
English

@RaeComm Derek can you ask if like in Germany can you get on a bus using your ticket as payment.
Or a stamped card from your hotel. In major cities ?
English

@MrsVasey0303 If it were me, I might look at Uber or taxi from Burlington to Alewife station, then Red Line to Boston South Station and special train to stadium.
It should work in reverse way back as the Red Line runs until 2am.
English

@RaeComm We are staying in Burlington. Interested in any public transport options from there to downtown Boston and the stadium. Thanks
English

@fk1electrical @World_Cup_Guide Ha! :) That could work if you get there early enough. For after the game, not sure.
English

@RaeComm @World_Cup_Guide Derek, if staying in Providence, is getting the train up to Mansfield and Uber out to the stadium a good option? I’m reading all these comments with your Bundesliga accent 😂
English

@bigchips79 @SybarisAli Not the T (subway) no, but the MBTA commuter rail yes.
English

@RaeComm @SybarisAli Hey Derek, I'm right in saying Swampscott is on the T Line? Cheers
English

@GlasgowCabby It’s a nice town :) Lots to do and if you go, pop into my friend’s pub.

English

@RaeComm Top man thanks Derek, I was looking at Salem actually, bit spooky I here though 😂😂
English

@GlasgowCabby I have recommended the North Shore many people. Towns like Salem & Beverly. Look as far up as Gloucester. All great coastal places.
The snag is no public transport anywhere after the first game due to the late hour but this is statewide. But commuter rail good otherwise.
English

@RaeComm Do you Recommend anywhere to stay couple of hours from Foxboro with sufficient public transport
English

@SybarisAli Subway yes. The T runs until around 2am on Saturday nights.
But not the commuter rail.
English

@NasriSami9 If you mean buses to Foxboro? No. Not run by the MBTA anyway.
English

@RaeComm Will buses be available before and after the match🏴🇺🇸
English

@BigAcl2011 That’s a fair viewpoint but thousands will be going and would personally prefer that those who do, have an idea how the transport works so they can plan.
