#AuthorsOfTwitter Please pre-order my new book “How I Quit My Job, Found Happiness and Became a Multi-Million Dollar Best Selling Author” coming to a bookstore near you…. as soon as I figure out how to achieve all of that and then write about it.

@Raebourn Some of the best decisions we make are the ones that terrify us. Best of luck to you. You got this!

It looks as though all three job prospects are interested in me. Whoa. Never had this happen to me in a professional job setting. I guess now, I need to weigh which one I should go with? This is weird. I've never felt qualified or good enough for a professional job.Decisions.💖🙂

@Raebourn I don't think that's crazy. Planning a whole year off like that is a BIG deal, and obviously important to you.

@jc_linden The plan was to travel but who knows what the world will look like in a few months. 😬 you’re right, the money will still be there. I can’t help but feel it’s a manipulation tactic on their part so deciding to leave is always a choice! Thank you!

@Raebourn Do you have specific plans for your year off? The money is there, saved, and so can be used at any time. Seems nothing will be lost, even if you took the job. You can always decide to leave if it's not for you.

@Raebourn Take what you worked hard for and enjoy your year off. A lot can happen in 12 months - the new boss might be gone by then and the position is available again, or you might decide on an entirely new career direction after taking the time to mull it over. How nice to have options!

@stanleycaz1 Wow! No idea what that was. As a child I would stare in the mirror and then somehow be standing over me looking down at myself looking in mirror and saying “this is who you are now” to get back in my body. My only explanation is active imagination but sometimes in wonder… 🤔

As a child did you experience something you can’t explain? I was playing with my dolls in the garden when a bright revolving light football size came toward me. I nearly touched it but stopped myself. I fetched my mum but it had gone. Any ideas what it was?

@Nancy_H_Author So true, I’ve never understood this advice! I prefer not setting limitations to my writing and if I only wrote what I know my book would only be a few chapters 😂 😉

Im sorry but I just need to share a small win: I had a rough day at work and then a reader told me they stayed up until 4 to finish my book because they loved it. All the time put into writing a book I sometimes feel like I’m wasting it, but she made me feel like maybe I’m not.🥹

@SurtseyAna @Nickyshearsby22 This is great! On the one hand, I love this and the writing. On the other, I read it in Trumps voice and may have laughed a little 😂

@SurtseyAna @Nickyshearsby22 😂 love this advice I write fantasy, but now I’m suddenly picturing authors who write erotica doing this lol

@Nickyshearsby22 For you - no. You know what you're doing. Writing courses - no. Novel writing is not about grammar or spelling. If I have one piece of advice it is to 'listen'. Take a paragraph and re-write it in Sean Connery's voice, then Trump's, then Spock's - see how the words change

@BlesiRebekah Yes & still do. I’ve taken after my mother & sing about mundane things. “Staring out the window while washing the dishes, scrubbing the egg awayyyyy!” Only time I was told my songs were made up is when I used sing “cuz I gotta go peeee” in public. It was my “number 1” hit 😂

Did you make up songs when you were a kid? Did anyone tell you that they were made-up songs (instead of real ones)? I find lots of people tell kids this, but all songs are made up. What are we telling our kids?

@YaraGhayar When sexual assault is used as a plot device or inciting incident for the the MC, usually female. She then becomes a badass and “won’t let it happen again”. It inadvertently suggests it was her fault the first time. Had she just been stronger….

Do you have a literary pet peeve? Something that drives you crazy when you're reading a book? Personally I can't stand when the miscommunication trope is used as a plot device but without any actual reason for it. #WritingCommmunity
