Obviously its important to get a pap smear, but the amount of people who shut down any stories of women experiencing pain during smear tests and accuse them of exagerrating is a blatant example of medical misogyny.

One of my students told me I looked like I was losing weight…. That gave me the motivation to go overtimeee in the gym this afternoon. Sore AF now. Lol oh well. Hopefully it will pay off soon.

My only input on the pap smear discourse is that if you avoid routine preventive care for fears of discomfort, you exponentially increase your chances of needing much more painful, uncomfortable, and invasive treatment for something that was entirely preventable.
