Black Ops Royale Solos is live! GLHF!

Solos is coming to Black Ops Royale tomorrow! As a reminder, this mode was originally designed and balanced to launch as a Quads experience. While we recognize the strong interest in a Solos option, please be aware that gameplay is not yet fully tuned for a single player experience. We'll be keeping an eye open for feedback as we continue to make adjustments and improvements! GLHF.

We’re incredibly excited to see so many players jumping in and seeing the early feedback on Black Ops Royale. We’ve been watching the streams and loving the clips! We’ve been playing alongside all of you and we’re already working on several updates and changes to make the mode even better. We know this mode represents a significant shift from previous Call of Duty: Warzone experiences, and we’re closely monitoring both gameplay data and community sentiment as more players dive in. We want to share visibility on some of the early items that we’re already adjusting, with many of these coming next week: Redeployment ▪️ Ensure more Redeploy Towers are available in mid/later portions of the match. ▪️ Increase the audio volume for active Redeploy Towers. Activities ▪️ Slightly increase Activity spawn rates. ▪️ Increasing the reveal distance when an Activity is nearby. ▪️ Increase the Surveillance Drone reveal radius. ▪️ Increase Safecracker USBs awarded through Activities. Loot & Equipment ▪️ Increase Weapon Attachment Kit availability. ▪️ Adjust base weapon spawn rates. ▪️ Increase Sniper Rifle presence in loot. UI ▪️ Win Streak HUD tracking. Under Investigation ▪️ Mouse & Keyboard controls while using Wingsuits. ▪️ Visual distinction between Tier 2 and Tier 3 Armor Vests. ▪️ More on Trello. Our team is also closely monitoring data about overall match pacing to determine the changes that will improve the experience for all players. We'll share updates as these changes are ready to go live. And, as always, please continue to send in your feedback as you spend more time in Black Ops Royale!

Good news: We’ve heard your feedback on adding more ways to play Black Ops Royale, and Solos is coming! While this will require some backend work and a few changes that need to happen before it goes live, we're excited to get Solos into the game and we'll share more details on timing as we get closer to deploying. We plan to add Solos as a Private Match option next week to help gather early data on match pacing and overall balance. In the meantime, keep your feedback coming throughout the weekend!

📢 Call of Duty: #Warzone As we approach the launch of Black Ops Royale, we’re happy to share that players will still be able to progress toward the Battle Royale Win Streaks reward track while playing the new mode. While we celebrate the arrival of this new experience, we wanted to ensure players don’t miss the opportunity to continue working toward the rewards they’ve been chasing. Looking ahead to Season 03, we’re also planning to introduce a dedicated Win Streak reward track for Black Ops Royale featuring rewards unique to the mode. Please note that we are currently tracking an issue where consecutive victories may not properly update on the Win Streak tracker.

We’ve seen quite a few questions about squad sizes in Black Ops Royale. Because this is such a fresh experience, and with many possible directions we could take, we chose to launch with a single mode based on the squad size that has proven to be the most popular across all of our other modes. For now, our focus is on understanding how players feel about the core experience. We've heard the feedback and will continue the dialogue.

We’ve seen questions about being able to use weapon skins in Black Ops Royale. Bringing this mode to life was a massive effort across multiple teams, and implementing a fully featured system to support cosmetic integrations like this requires significant development time. For now, our focus is on making sure the core experience lands well. As we continue evaluating the mode, we’ll share updates down the road if and when we’re ready to expand support for things like weapon skins.
