This is turning into a bonfire of public money. £2.5 billion to fund sketchy carbon capture tech at a power station that burns trees - not any old trees, but pristine Canadian forests. We already give £800m to Drax annually to support its tree burning. bit.ly/4b1hK6G

So deeply depressing - & frankly terrifying - that as many as 68 Tory MPs just voted to make shameful #Rwanda Bill even more shameful by supporting amendment which would explicitly disapply *any* international law that might stop removals. This is seriously dangerous territory
