@jc_dcdev @Anthony_817 I think if you add support for it then others will follow 🙂 there are games such as nba 2k that take up 198 blocks and gk - giant killers takes up the full 200 blocks

@RazorX2017 @Anthony_817 400b vmu is probably doable w/o too much work. As for the virtual vmu it’s different as the entire logic has to be recoded to work w/o kos to be embedded in the original bios app(s) developed with sega katana sdk.

Very rushy, very bulky but yet here is the demo! Quite short but I cannot do more due to a happy family event 💕 I will do a better one later

@jc_dcdev @Anthony_817 with all the solutions we have for mounting virtual memory cards/vmu's with stuff like usb4maple, vm2 and vmu pro etc, how difficult would it be for you to implement support for example 400 block memory card images or larger?

@RazorX2017 It actually works with the 1.032 but only with the GDMenu made by mrneo24 as it calls a special syscall. The new version will work with all, gdmenu, openmenu etc.

@jc_dcdev nice, with v1.033 will exiting to bios from gdemu work? because it doesn't on v1.031 and v1.032

@RazorX2017 @AshEvans81 @dantethascrub I have a dozen of pal psus, may be worth it to try them all and see if all are causing the overheating issue… then yes I agree, I will probably end up using alternative psu solutions. Sad though 😢

@AshEvans81 from testing i did years ago on my dreamcast, i could only really find the 12v being used for something like RGB out and i believe 12v also goes to the modem/bba but i don't believe it uses it. i can't remember it being used for anything else, ignoring the drive.

@jc_dcdev @AshEvans81 @dantethascrub as dante stated, you'd want a proper 3d print that emulates the shape of the gdrom drive as well as the console top shell in place for the airflow to be correct but it's likely that you have one of the troublesome psu's, i'd recommend just replacing it with a dreampsu or similar

@RazorX2017 @AshEvans81 @dantethascrub If you are talking about the mod in the picture, the console feels way hotter than it should be. I will measure the temperature to put a number on this feeling

@jc_dcdev @AshEvans81 @dantethascrub if you are using a gdemu then simply do the resistor mod directly to the gdemu and you're done, otherwise a simple dreampsu will work just fine or you could buy a usb-c version, either way you won't have any issues anymore

@CDaioglou i just meant, you can still see part of the 1 in the top left when you change it to fullscreen mode which makes it seem like there is an artifact on the image that shouldn't be there

@RazorX2017 The icons will remain when in controller mode. When in standalone mode, my BIOS will manage them.. Also, the new Fullscreen mode is added as an option.

@RazorX2017 Yeah. As it happens, after I got it printing better, and got the nozzle high right, it got VERY stuck to the new plate. lol So you're right, I don't think it even needs the glue now. I also only just realize I still had the plastic film on the underside of the new plate. lol

The first ever half-decent print. Brand-new 0.4mm nozzle, ‘cos the old one clogged, plus I don’t know which filaments the previous owner was using. Heater block was also loose. PLA leaked everywhere earlier. lol Gantry plate and arm still a bit loose. New wheels on the way.

@AshEvans81 yeah you'll definitely want to level it again, then it should be good to go, depending on the plate you have you shouldn't have to use glue or anything for the most part.

@RazorX2017 Thanks. ;) I stuck the new plate on now, after removing the glass. I gave the alu heat bed a clean with IPA. Gonna level it again, then try a Benchy.

3D printer question… I bought one of those two-piece magnet print bed thingies. Should I stick it directly onto the aluminium heated bed, or keep the glass, and stick it onto that?

@natalie_thenerd if you leave the screen as the stock one then you can still play ds games if you add a button to switch the screen from the top screen view to the bottom screen view and vice versa, that's what i did on mine
