@Mordraga0 That’s actually a huge relief! Automated messaging ruins an artist's reputation instantly, so keeping it to just surfacing posts is the right move. If the Twitter filter is accurate enough to save us hours of manual searching, a low-cost subscription could definitely be worth it

@RedWitch24 Exactly. Thankfully inkscout only surfaces posts so it doesn't actually automate messages or anything.

Artists. I have a question. Lets say there were an app that lets you look for commissions automatically. How much would you pay for it?

@Mordraga0 That's a cool concept, but it's a bit of a catch-22. If it's expensive at launch because there are few users, artists won't take the risk to join. It's usually safer to start with a low, accessible price to build the user base first

@RedWitch24 But I do see what your saying. I commission websites so I get it completely. It's why I'm asking the art community instead of "$50. Go nuts." Model I had in mind? More artists use it, the cheaper it gets. Say... 10 artists use it? Drop to $5 a month. Or whatever number works.

@Mordraga0 fair point, Twitter's API costs are insane. But since Twitter has so many bots now, if artists are paying a subscription for it, the leads definitely need to be high quality and vetted

Us smaller VTubers need to understand that we kinda compete with VTubers that have massive fanbases who basically work for them for free (it's called PASSION and is a good thing): clipping, sharing, fanarts, etc. I have to do all that myself, but I do it SLOWLY. NO MORE BURNOUT

I am genuinely so so SO frustrated by a few artists on twitter. I’ve had so many amazing experiences with artists but there is a few who just ruin it for me :| 1. Artists who take on so so SO many new clients they can’t fulfill the commissions anymore… Why do you keep accepting clients if you know you are mentally or physically disabled and won’t be able to give all of them their commissions? 2. Artists who keep making new YCHs instead of working on their already waiting customers 3. Artists who prioritize numbers and making fanart for bigger Streamers/Vtubers so their fanbase follows them instead of doing their commissions I understand that you might need to take a break once in a while but if you have people waiting 2-3 months for you to even start a rough sketch on a YCH while posting more and more about no commissions and fanart???? It’s genuinely so exhausting :( And this is not a 1 artist did it so I’m mad post I have over 350 commissions completed with different artists on Vgen I have had my fair share of exaclty that with minimum 30 different artists in my time :|

i’ve been getting dms/comments asking for a vgen code most of them don’t follow me, some have never even interacted with me… i know vgen encourages artists to “ask the community or a friend” i’m sorry, we are not friends, you are not my community, why would i give it to you?
