Just for reference, Bernie's branch of government approved spending $1.8 trillion more last year than the government got in revenue. Total spending for 2025 was $7.1 trillion dollars. Total spending just 10 years prior, in 2015, was half that at $3.7 trillion. Adjusted for (historically massive) inflation to compare apples to apples in 2025, that would have been just over $5T. And ya know what? If the government had "only" spent $5T in 2025, they'd have run a slight surplus instead of a $1.8T deficit. If Bernie had his way, that deficit would have been orders of magnitude higher, as there is absolutely no limit or backstop on the amount of other people's money he believes he should be allowed to spend on whatever retarded policy his geriatric, economically-ignorant, and socialism-addled brain can come up with. So... No.

In reality forcing those people to sell off their stakes in their companies would tank the share price causing the proceeds to be considerably less than what it appears to be on paper.
