With the news of Rep. Flanagan’s arrest today for defrauding a local group to support his political campaign, he can no longer effectively represent his constitutes in the 1st Barnstable District.

Tom served 14 years in the Massachusetts House, and so many more decades, championing projects and causes that shaped our region. A mentor, runner, golfer, and leader, he leaves behind a legacy of service.

Today, I led the Senate in adjourning in memory of Tom Cahir, a dedicated public servant from the Cape Community.
