Cont’d: We are ALL freezing rain across South-Central Ky but I expect the changeover to sleet/snow after Lunch. Thr system looks to move out of th I-65 Corrior ~ 5/6pm Central.

10:30am Central Update: The @kymesonet has shown the temperatures dropping quickly within last hour. A 3° drop in little over an Hour as Arctic Air is sliding in. Hence, the changeover back to ALL SNOW for areas along and North of the Parkways. 850mb line is dropping too. 🙏

@I65WxSils @Kentucky_WX One more question (for now 😂)…. What’s it looking like Saturday morning/early afternoon for Louisville?

@RivalsChris @Kentucky_WX I don’t think, if we see a weaker Low develop into MS>GA. Right now it doesn’t look that way.

This ain’t the best snow map I’ve made…. I’ll admit it. BUT it does the job. 0z data coming in a little aggressive so decided to go a widespread 2-4” for most of the state. Some very well may go over 4” but I think we can fine-tune that area tomorrow. I think it’s even possible to see some Winter Storm Warnings in this area (along parkways especially) but I’m not 100% sold everyone will see 4”+… YET. South near Bowling Green and points west I decided to go with a 4-6” swath. Data pointing at best moisture in this area. I expect Winter Storm Warnings to go up in this area tonight. This is likely to change as we get more reliable data tomorrow. Updates will be slow during the day. #KYwx

To be clear, until all details emerge I am taking no sides in this whole ordeal… But with that being said I don’t believe a police officer attaching themselves to a moving car is anywhere in protocol? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

@Kentucky_WX Any chance storms hold off in Louisville until after sunset on Wednesday?

Still have 2 big ? for Wednesday in our area... 1. Timing. Models have slowed down the front to push storm arrival back 2-3 hours. This is key to whether or not we have peak heating of day. Severe storms are likely regardless. 2. How quickly do storms go linear vs cellular. #KYwx

UK flew his family in to try to sell them on the idea of moving here. Offered or not he was the guy they wanted.

Open the “UK really didn’t want him” floodgates.

I’m not saying they wouldn’t have had success without him, I’m just saying the way in which they did and the spotlight it put on the program wasn’t UK’s name, it was Calipari’s.

UK has great tradition that will certainly keep the program competing in bball no matter what, but I think most UK fans are going to be shocked just how much of the past 15 years has been the Calipari brand propelling them, not necessarily the UK tradition.

@TySpalding Maybe he does great here, I have no idea. It would be awesome if he is the choice and he knocks it out of the park. Just scares me that 90% (my uneducated guess) of people want of him is just because of being Rick’s son.

I get the allure of Richard Pitino, I truly do. But let’s be honest if his last name wasn’t Pitino he wouldn’t even be in contention for the job.

Absolutely no comparison in my opinion. Brohm’s last 2 years at Purdue were great years for the program. He was getting big time recruits. He succeeded at WKU before Purdue. Pitino has had plenty of chances and achieved minimal success.

@TySpalding 1 is absolutely true and is driving 95% of the interest, but doesn’t necessarily translate to winning games. 2 is true but I believe he has had much more of an opportunity to do so. And that is 1 win in what, 10 seasons?
