@RobGavi

Is the solution a better understanding of narcissism and the removal and prevention of such people from positions of power?

@markomihkelson @ulrichspeck Indeed. If only people, especially politicians, refused to be cowed by the fact russia has nukes. So do we. Fuck russia.

It seems that the international media are hungry for defeatist narratives. They warn that Russia’s attack on Europe is imminent. What we really lack is not speculative analysis, but strategic resolve — we must stop waiting for Russia to act, get our own house in order, and ensure that Russian imperialism is defeated in Ukraine, by Ukraine, with European support.

@AndreyFurmaniuk @NamejsRRR @Microinteracti1 2/2 Furthermore, wouldn’t NATO potentially have the best possible ally with Ukraine as well? Which is more reason for NATO to support them more now. Today.

@AndreyFurmaniuk @NamejsRRR @Microinteracti1 I think you inadvertently disrespect both countries with that statement. Have both countries been sleeping the last 5 years? russia has 5 years of putting the vast majority of its best equipment and personnel into the Ukrainian meat grinder. And it was crap to begin with. 1/2

Putin just gave himself the legal right to invade any country on Earth. 413 votes. Zero against. In 1938, Hitler said he needed to protect the German-speaking minority in Czechoslovakia. Six months later he owned the whole country. This week the Russian Duma passed a law letting Putin deploy troops anywhere on Earth to “protect Russian citizens.” Estonia and Latvia both have large Russian-speaking minorities on Russia’s border. Trump has spent a month telling America that NATO abandoned him. The alliance didn’t show up when he needed it. Remember that. What Americans don’t understand: leaving Europe before a major war doesn’t mean sitting it out. It means handing China the role Japan held in World War Two. We are not saying this was planned. We are saying a plan between two men would look exactly like this. Full breakdown here: x.com/microinteracti…

The US debt just crossed $39 trillion. It is growing at $7.5 billion a day. Interest payments alone hit $1.2 trillion last year. More than defence. More than Medicare. And it buys absolutely nothing. No roads. No hospitals. No future. Five years ago the number was $11 trillion lower. The Congressional Budget Office now projects deficits above 6% of GDP every single year for the next decade. Empires rarely fall in a day. They get hollowed out first. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@NamejsRRR @AndreyFurmaniuk @Microinteracti1 Either Finland and Poland by themselves would literally tear russian forces to pieces. I genuinely hope NATO can quickly get rid of Trump and commit themselves to Ukraine.

@AndreyFurmaniuk @RobGavi @Microinteracti1 Russia can barely move the front line a mile in a year in Ukraine. You think they can take two whole countries that each have their own NATO battlegroup? If Russia tries to attack NATO the more pertinent question is if Finland or Poland will make it to Moscow first

Robbie’s story will always stay with me. I say this as a doctor who has reviewed Robbie’s medical records and documentation around what followed. Thank you for trusting me with sharing these @willcpowell and for telling me about your beautiful boy Robbie. Robbie’s death was inarguably avoidable. There were multiple opportunities to recognise deterioration, provide adequate follow-up, and multiple opportunities to take the (relatively simple) actions needed to diagnose and treat Robbie from a very easily treatable illness (albeit rare in children), of which he had every sign. Those opportunities were all missed. Poor care can and does happen, sometimes with devastating consequences. Human error is an unavoidable reality in medicine, and every doctor will make mistakes during the course of their career. In this case, several doctors made mistakes. What was far more disturbing than easily avoidable mistakes being made, however, was what followed. Instead of acknowledging these mistakes, apologising, and learning from them, several of the individuals involved lied, falsified notes, gaslit Robbie’s parents and even went on to harass them (admittedly I found this bit the hardest to get my head around!). Furthermore, the institutions that should have helped provide accountability - such as the local health regulators, the GMC, the police, and the justice system - not only didn’t help but played significant roles in the continuation of gaslighting by prolonging that harm and hiding behind procedures and tick boxes. Reading through Robbie’s case has been heartbreaking. I will never forget his story, and I will talk about it in all my future medicolegal and patient safety teaching. I feel truly honoured to have met Robbie’s dad, who is a remarkable human being. Robbie was so lucky to have a dad like you. The fact that it had to be formally established that doctors owe patients the truth still stops me in my tracks. I would have assumed honesty with patients and families was self-evident. What a world we live in.

Pls RT: 36yrs ago today was the last day of Robbie's life-he was 10yrs old & died of suspected & treatable Addison's disease that invariably results in death without treatment. He was seen by 5 GPs, 7 times, in the last 2 weeks of life-below is a summary! robbieslaw.com

@Microinteracti1 I’m often wondering how Trump will react to European forces quite literally obliterating russian forces in whatever NATO country they make a move on. I guess we’re getting ever more closer to midnight, all thanks to that freaking little gremlin putin.

@karenmitchell__ @Jimburgess I think Jim is describing your ‘everyday’ grandiose type narcissist whilst Dr Karen is describing the darker and usually more malignant and predatory type?

You actually don’t know what you’re talking about. No dark personality experiences shame or humiliation. The amygdala and prefrontal cortex of their brain is different along with some of the brain functioning and interconnections. Their pathological anger is not a normal human emotion but rather a predatory response like a lion having its meat taken away from it. The pathological envy is again an impact of predation resulting from superiority and entitlement. I repeat. Human predators (malignant narcissists, psychopaths, coercive controllers) do not experience normal human emotions. Their brains are wired completely differently.

Narcissists and dark personalities absolutely DO experience emotions. Rage, shame, envy, contempt, humiliation often more intensely than most people. They also run what’s called cold empathy. They map your feelings extremely well they just don’t care about them which is why they are such effective predators.

@mervynpervyn I always find it weird when certain guilters want to gloat and call Letby ugly when they see a less flattering image of her. We never said she was attractive (99.9% of us anyway). They did, because they wanted to throw out a red herring and pathologise questioning the verdict

@1goodtern Kegbreath has purged 24 US Military Generals. Now, how does that compare with China doing the same to 20 PLA Generals of their own, between 2023 & 2026?

@GnomesWearHats @visegrad24 The driver turning left is THE causal factor. They are the primary cause for the LR having to take quick, evasive action to avoid them. The poor, overly sensitive and powerful LR steering in this vehicle contributed towards the loss of control.

🇬🇧 Driver avoids jail after crash that overturned a military convoy vehicle and left soldier with broken back Crenguta Aruxandei, 44, received a six-month suspended prison sentence, a 12-month driving ban, and a £154 victim surcharge after a collision in which a military Land Rover Defender flipped over, leaving its driver with a suspected broken back. According to Northamptonshire Police, dashcam footage showed the incident was “completely avoidable.” The video shows Aruxandei changing lanes in an Audi Q2 while exiting, forcing the Land Rover in a convoy to take evasive action, after which it rolled across both lanes.
