State-building begins with understanding the scale of the nation. With over 70 million people across the Middle East and the diaspora, the Kurdish project is one of the largest unrecognized demographic realities in modern history. A population of this size deserves a seat at the international table.

In the secret tunnels, the fighters prepare for the most important battle of their lives: to overthrow the Iranian regime. At 2,000 meters above sea level, drones circle like birds of prey. Up here, you are not safe until you go underground. Behind a hidden tunnel entrance, an army lives in complete secrecy. The Iranian-Kurdish resistance movement PJAK has secret bases in Iraq where they are preparing for battle against the Iranian regime. The fighters are ready for combat but demand a no-fly zone over Iran before crossing the border. There is distrust toward the United States due to past experiences.
