Sadly we are cancelling this Saturday (14/12/2024) due to lack of volunteers. This is the first time in nearly 8 years we have had to do it for this reason. We will be back next week and over the Christmas period providing enough volunteers come forward.

Past President did a loft clearout and found these beauties. They’ve cleaned up a treat, esp the ‘Home Guard Trophy’ for the season’s best bowler and won in 1966 by… @BarryHearn. We’ll bring them back for future presentations. @EssexCCB @MidEssexcricket

So yesterday I went swimming at my gym did 40 lengths got out the pool had a shower then got into the jacuzzi when I had a cardiac arrest and drowned luckily for me the lady in there grabbed me alerted life guards who got me out shocked me back to life with a defib and cpr ❤️

Getting there… ground certainly better than a couple of months ago… square workable but outfield still very boggy. Internal post-flooding clean-up ongoing… *Might* be possible to play next weekend if the decent weather continues…@MidEssexcricket @EssexCCB

Reliving that defib moment. Seeing my friend and colleague collapsed. Calling his mother and relaying a message that was urgent but trying not to scare the hell out of her. Never ever want to have to do that again but we do what we have to when we have to #savealife #firstaid
