Jury makes a number of critical findings in connection with Robert Young’s death. A six-day inquest into the death of Robert Young concluded in April. After the evidence was heard, Senior Coroner Zafar Siddique decided that Article 2 was engaged due to arguable breaches by the police and ambulance services. The jury concluded that Mr Young’s death was by suicide and criticised several aspects of the response by emergency services. Lord Reed has had his proposal to enable overseas judges to sit on the JCPC approved by the government. The Court and the Ministry of Justice are now working on detailed arrangements to welcome judges from JCPC served countries, subject to the approval of His Majesty the King.

Today at the #covidinquiryUK Sam Jacobs from @DoughtyStreet representing the @The_TUC and instructed by Thompson’s Solicitors, questioned former prime minister Boris Johnson over his attitude to workers after notes revealed Johnson’s disdain for consulting with employees and unions during the pandemic. ‘Mr Johnson, Was it wrong for you as prime minister to set such a dismissive approach to consultation with the unions’.

Mr Rotherham confirmed that it wasn't the case that Central Government didn't respond adequately. It was the case that they simply didn't respond. #CovidInquiry
